December note from the CEO

It’s the most wonderful time of the year. Again. What else can one say about December? It’s the grand conclusion of a year—the climax in our natural drive for reflection, drawing conclusions, and tying up loose ends. 🎁✨ But it’s also a time for well-deserved celebrations, moments with the people we love, and a chance to make wishes and resolutions for the future.

"The Hardworking Elf" 🎅

While we’re enjoying the festive season, let’s not forget the hardworking elves behind the scenes—our development team. 


This year, they’ve delivered 11 monthly system updates with hundreds of new features and improvements, transforming the Clock platform to better meet the needs of our customers. Among the highlights are advancements in our Event Management System, introducing more intuitive tools to streamline event planning, automate schedules, and improve communication between teams, making event organization smoother and more efficient.


On the revenue side, Attribute-Based Selling (ABS) and Online check-in upselling have brought personalization and flexibility to upselling, enabling hoteliers to monetize valuable room features like better views or extra space while retaining the simplicity of traditional room categorizations. These tools empower hoteliers to generate higher revenues without overcomplicating their operations.


Our Housekeeping Assistant app also saw a significant upgrade, expanding its functionality beyond hotel rooms to include meeting rooms and common areas. New features like the Housekeeping Forecast Report by Sectors, and integrated mini-bar management, and improved Activity Calendar and Planning reports ensure better planning and execution, while lost and found reporting adds another layer of efficiency. Together, these updates highlight our commitment to delivering tools that enhance operational efficiency, drive revenue, and create memorable guest experiences.


Every update we released was designed to help make your daily operations easier, boost your revenue, and create even better experiences for your guests. With these hundreds of improvements and innovations, we’re closing the year strong and excited to begin another year of continuous growth and support for your success.

New Year Farewells 🎄

This December feels a bit more emotional for us at Clock, especially for those who have been with the company for a longer time. As the clock strikes midnight on New Year’s Eve, we will bid farewell to our on-premise product, Clock Evolution, or as we fondly call it, Clock Evo.


Clock Evo was the product that defined the company we were before the cloud era. It helped us grow into a market leader in our home country and neighboring markets. It taught us how to scale up, and it ultimately financed the creation of Clock PMS+, the cloud solution that now serves hoteliers in over 60 countries worldwide.


Still cherished by many hoteliers—and by us (parents do love all their children, don’t they?)—Clock Evo dates back to 1996. It was one of the first client/server property management systems with an attractive graphical user interface for its time. It was also among the pioneers of truly automated online distribution, offering direct OTA and CRS connections as early as the mid-2000s. Over nearly three decades, Clock Evo evolved through countless improvements and new versions, winning thousands of five-star tags for its outstanding support.


But every technology has its lifecycle. Advancements in tech lead to new, better ways to deliver solutions, enhance guest interactions, and redefine automation and revenue generation. A few years ago, we announced the end of Clock Evo’s journey, setting 31.12.2024 as the final day of support and development. What seemed like a distant moment has now arrived.


As we prepare to say goodbye, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who made Clock Evo such a success. To those who used it and trusted us, to those who have already transitioned to its younger, more energetic sibling Clock PMS+, and even to those who are yet to make the move—thank you! 


Thank you, Clock Evo. You will always have a special place in our hearts and memories. 💖

As the previous section likely left you with a touch of nostalgia (and what is Christmas without a bit of that? 🎄), let’s switch gears to something much more cheerful. As I write this, many of us are still recovering—or should I say, reanimating—from our traditional end-of-year team building and Christmas party. It’s never been boring, but this year, it truly turned into a blast of craziness.


These celebrations have always been our way of expressing gratitude to every single member of #TeamClock for their tireless work throughout another year. Yet somehow, they always transform into something much bigger—a feast of mutual support, endless positive emotion, and an energy that charges us with confidence in our strengths and, most importantly, in the bond we share. It’s a bond that makes us feel there are no obstacles we cannot go through, challenges we cannot tame, or situations we cannot solve. 💪✨


It’s profoundly rewarding to see people of different nationalities, temperaments, backgrounds, ages, lifestyles, and professions—some who joined the team more than a decade ago and others just a few weeks ago—having fun together and feeling like one. To me, there is hardly anything more inspiring. Thank you for being our magic force, #TeamClock. 💛
